For what it's worth, came into Oark down the mountain to the North on dirt roads.... Sitting at a table with a former local now out of GA who inadvertently did the same thing on his FZ.... (The occasional evils of Google.)

The bridge is nicer to cross since they replaced the deck a few years ago.
The road you took to Oark from the north might be the one my GPS wanted me to take the first couple times I went to Oark. I ignored what looked like a goat path and followed my paper map route. I learned a long time ago to not trust the GPS in that part of the state Smile
