Planning routes

I have been putting a video how-to off for years largely because of laziness and also because it is not a short or an easy video to make. 

I too have confusion regarding tracks vs routes and one way I have found to educate myself (and others who watch) is to make the videos. The way I look at it is this - I spend the time one to research and educate myself, then after that I watch the video whenever I need a refresher.

As I may have mentioned before I abhor Basecamp, to put it mildly. I have many reasons which I will not go into here. I much prefer the not-perfect Furkot.com approach since it allows me to include routes, hotels and such all of which constitute "a trip" for me. I am a planner for I like to have it all in the Nav VI, and if I choose to deviate I can, and when I am ready I can resume the plan. Furkot works beautifully for a milti-dat trip also, with all the routes (or is it tracks?) manually loaded into the Nav VI. 

Ask me if I remember how I did it ...   Hence the need for the video.

One of these days ... Its not like I get paid to make those videos ...
