Yes, the clutch showed signs of wear upon inspection while replacing the stator, my dealer had a used clutch that I bought for a few dollars.
The mileage was between 80,000-110,000 don't remember I was told that the early 1200WC motors had stator problems. The new and improved
stator was installed. Over ten years and 200,000+mi. I don't think the repairs have been to bad.
