You could be correct. I was only going based on what the CEO of BMW Motorrad said at the press launch of the GS and RT - he did not elaborate on what models would be launched in those 6 events. Check out the Press Launch video on the News page.
What I do know is that there is a new S1000RR, and with the new 1250 boxer engine, there would be a new R1200R / RS, so that is three new models. There are no other LC 1200 boxers that would be upgradeable with the new engine. The other boxers in the BMW lineup are the air cooled "Heritage" bikes (R nineT variants) and I have not heard of a new engine for those …. Maybe they will all get the LC engine, but then they won't be "Heritage" anymore ...
Also, the releases could be like this one - covering more than one bike, so it is hard to speculate which bikes would be updated enough to warrant a press launch. The only thing I would be sure of is the S1000RR and the R1250 R/RS.
