Ride for free if you bought 5 year old equipment

Nice looking bike, though I never understood the purpose of the high vibration "tuning fork" handlebars instead of clip-ons. Maybe I'm just a sensitive guy.

A little3 concerned about the vibration since I did not ride the bike. The handlebars feel fine , as does the fit overall.

Problem - if you throw on some panniers, a top case, and tank bag..., what's the purpose of the RS?

Good point but if I got it I would not be getting luggage to go camping. That is for the RS. The S1000R would be for local riding.
