I live on the east coast of Australia, 5 minutes walk from a great surf beach so I ride a bike and a board.
I have recently purchased a blue r1250rs after riding an 800GT for a few years and a range of Ducati's and Suzuki's for a number of years before that. I have done 4000kms on the new bike and love it. I commute 90 kms round trip most days and this bike makes it a joy.
