I have traps all over my three car garage. I haven't trapped one in over a month now. There was a run in June, July, August I was snaring 4 a week. Always the same trap, first one from outside.
I toss dead ones in the driveway and let the local hawk feed on them.
I use the old style "killer" traps baited with LAVA soap shavings. Works better than peanut butter.
Last week, I was mowing grass down at the farm and had to open the lawn tractor hood to clean an electrical connection. There on top the battery stood a mouse. I had been mowing for over an hour.
