Changes at the strip mall

There are many, many, many empty store fronts and even empty strip malls around these days.

There's one on the east side of Pittsburgh called Pittsburgh Mills. I think a Church and a Dick's Sporting Goods are the only remaining large tenants. The mall was built and folded within less than 20-yrs.

Interesting side story, Dick's sporting goods actually looks for declining malls. They only sign leases that base the rent on Mall occupancy. Fewer occupants, lower rent.

But, back to the local transformation of a Bed, Bath and Beyond to a Harbor Freight, I felt like I should light a scented candle and sprinkle potpourri...........
