I had something similar happen to me on my R9T, minus the bent rim part. It turned out to be a piece of concrete that was covered in asphalt and was indistinguishable from the road. I turned around to see what I hit and saw that it had a very sharp edge. Sure enough it sliced the front tire, but not severe enough to lose any air. And there were a few more pieces of that crap on the shoulder of the road that I threw off into the forest. I only had about 3k miles on those Pilot Road 4’s, but changed both tires anyways because I didn’t want to be dealing with different wear.
