Installation of my "new-to-me" muffler

I use the Remus exhaust, also. I did a little research on the electronic exhaust valve and found that, unlike Yamaha's EXUP, the BMW unit self-adjusts throughout the rev-range. This means that the exhaust flow is not a whole lot different between the Remus silencer and the stocker. Add in the closed loop FI mapping adapting to new conditions and the Remus exhaust should run very close to the same as stock after a few rides. You will hear more popping and burbling simply because it is louder. Like you, the throaty sound and the looks we're my primary goal ,but the weight loss is certainly welcome.

For folks who have yet to do this install, I'd just like to mention how much easier the springs are to install with a spring tool. Motion Pro or Park Tool both offer nice ones for not too much money.
