By the way, the screen is beautiful!
I knew that you would like the screen.
The routes that any GPS would suggest is based on which algorithm and combination of factors you pick. There are 2 main ways to make it listen to you and take you on the route you like:
- Insert some "shaping" waypoints between the start and end points, or
- Create the route offline, save it to a GPX file and then import the GPX file into the Navigator
Some people like to use Garmin Basecamp for creating routes and other stuff. I am no expert in Basecamp but with effort I could use it to create GPX files. I have used Furkot.com to create GPX files for long rides.
Putting in waypoints is done directly on the Navigator.
