In a separate thread (http://rswasserboxer.com/R1200RSforum/thread-580.html), I shared the process of sourcing RS hard bags, liners, etc., from KFM in Germany. Worked out well, the dealer keyed the cylinders for me (once we had a key), I tweaked the placement of the rubber cleats and took 'em out for a trial run yesterday. No noticeable difference in ride or handling, but I wasn't battling the winds I had to contend with on Sunday.
These are the Asphalt Grey variant. I think the finish works well with the other greys/blacks that are going on with the Imp Blue paint/sticker scheme. One of the things that drew me to the RS is how great it looks with and without the bags, and I still feel that way. However, I can't see myself putting these on and just leaving them there. Don't need the weight, wind drag and additional bug-smashing surface areas. But they look good for those times when I need 'em!
