R1250RS Newbie

It is kind of a "belt-and-suspenders" thing, isn't it? There's thread about this here somewhere (as I recall) and I've gotten feedback from others who don't necessarily see them as an either/or thing. I think GG liked the concept, but not the aesthetics of what was being offered.

I have the Mudsling (only) which works brilliantly at keeping the rear spring and shock clean. I have not found any hugger for the RS that I like, as I find they are all too long and I dislike the jagged trailing edge. Give it a smooth curve to that edge and I might look twice. My S1000R had a nice stubby hugger, as does the Tracer. They both look good to my eyes.

That said both would make for a cleaner rear end to the RS, and I guess having the hugger alone would be more effective than having the Mudsling alone.
