WOW, I've been looking for members here posting about their RS adventures, mods and other activities. New posts seem few and far between. Maybe everyone in the northern areas is out riding before the winter settles in? And since it's finally cooling off in the South and desert areas like Phoenix perhaps you all are able to get out and ride again? Just thinking out loud here.

I've been on online fora and such for a very long time ... even before the Internet, and I believe the reasons for the ebbs and flows of traffic are varied and complicated. One thing that social media has taught us is that drama "sells" and is "popular". Ergo, when there is a platform that deals with / in drama there is lots of traffic. If you are an advertiser or somehow profits off volume of traffic, then that is a good thing. If you are looking for the wheat amongst the chaff then maybe not so much.
Then there are motorcycling fora ... in itself a niche segment, and then you start narrowing it down to brands, and then demographics, etc. Of course, where most of the people are located and the usage of the motorcycles (daily use / transportation vs leisure) also can have an impact on the incentive to post.
I too have wondered the same thing as you have, especially since I started this forum precisely for the reasons of being a meaningful resource for RS owners and those interested in RSs, as well as increasing visibility into this less popular BMW (itself less popular depending on where you live) model. I have watched other fora with more traffic and have (informally) analyzed the content of that traffic, and I can tell you I am quite happy with the level of content on this forum.
I have lived through the collapse of the original RS forum, and have led efforts to try and salvage the useful information from same to use as a seed for a replacement forum. I learned that (a) there was little cooperation (for whatever reasons) when it came to putting in the legwork to doing that, and (b) it was a lot of work to sift through all the BS posts to get to the good stuff. There was a heavy noise / signal ratio. Better to have it the other way around, but that translates into low traffic, especially if the bike is relatively reliable and the drama is low.

Hey, GG-
I am sure many would agree with me and thank you for starting/maintaining this site. I, too, am a refugee from previous sites and check this site and others daily. I don't have much to add to the conversation most of the time but read what others say with interest. Keep up the good work.

Appreciate you saying so, but of course the original points made by Motorhead still remain. I wish I had more time to dedicate to the website as well but it takes time and effort to curate the stuff and then put it online for others to consume. Then there is the YouTube channel and the content that needs to be produced ... not only for the RS but also for the Tiger.
There are many reasons for the "cool-down" in posting and oftentimes it is also waiting for the other guy to start something interesting ... Also, during the wintertime there is a natural falling off of posts as people are not riding. But this is Fall and the best time for riding, so wo knows ...
As long as we stay here and stay tuned something will pop up, I am sure.

Thanks GG. I definitely stay tuned. And your points about time are well taken. Between my law practice and family obligations I sometimes feel I need to schedule time just to have a cup of coffee ?. Thanks for all your efforts and work in making this site what it is. It's really appreciated.

Always an advocate of write less; ride more.
The decrease in traffic in both of the model-specific fora reflect the relative stability of a 10 y-old motorcycle, with many of the engineering wrinkles finally worked out, and the huge library of reliable information about the model that can be obtained by a simple search of the sites.
I love this group - they stay focussed on the ride and generally stick to the mission of the site. When other sites run out of bike-specific questions and answers, there are too many participants who could spend more time on their bikes, but instead choose to turn from motorcycling pedagogues to pedantic demagogues....
Agree - kudos to GG for this site and his associated everyman videos on his maintenance of his RS.
(If looking for more regular content - perhaps a more magazine-like format..., I'm thinking posts of monthly or even weekly editorials or stories - invited or submitted, with perhaps a sponsor for some of that content..., and then there's the inevitable 20-y collection of stories and posts that get published in book form. (Just a parentheitcal thought. Heading out to ride, now.)
I am almost 74. I have been riding motorcycles since I was 13. I have had my 2023 RS Sport (ordered and built to my specs) for 15 months and 9500 miles. I'm in SE PA and ride all year long (when no salt on roads) with a great group of retired riders. I have never been able to corner as well as I can with the RS. It is by far my favorite motorcycle, and I have owned many!! I'm here on this great forum because I like to do my own service when I can .... and you all are wonderful for sharing your knowledge and time to help us owners! Thank you.
Great looking bike! I have a 2024 that could be it's clone!! minus the side bags. I am in Bucks county and ride all year as well, so many lovely roads and people around here!
Yes, good looking bile @Toruk. My riding buddy and next door neighbor has a 2023 RS in the same livery except for the brushed steel belly spoiler. Makes my neighborhood unique I think, having 2 1250 RSs on the same street.. @fig32, I've spent some time in Bucks County both on a bike and in a "sports car". Enjoyed the scenery and the roads.

That is a great bike. I have a 2024 RS in white and I love the way it rides.
I'm 78 going on 30 and enjoying the ride.
