My update: On September 27, the dealer said, "Hello, parts are still on order from Germany, I'll make sure that your battery is tendered [in response to my concern that the bike has just been sitting]."
No response since then. I hope to go up there Saturday (tomorrow, 18 Oct 25) to ask in person what gives. I mean, this ain't a Guzzi....

Thanks. This is not so bad since the one led to the other. Nothing like when a thread goes off topic into something completely different and the title has nothing to do with the new off-topic subject. Don't feel bad in this case, since as I said one thing led to the discovery of the other.
