After seeing a post on the other forum in which the subject Program was mentioned I became interested. I first heard about something like this being utilized on Richy Vida / Wildbad Touring's North America tour (Episode 2 here) and thought nothing more of it. (Turns out they used Air Transat Cargo, I believe)
Here is a link to the Air Canada Cargo page: https://www.aircanada.com/cargo/en/shipp...cycle.html
The cities are:
The web page alludes to the need for various bit of information which could affect the cost:
• A booking reference for your flight if you are travelling on Air Canada
• The destination and departure date for the motorcycle
• Your name, address, telephone contact number, and email address
• The name, address, telephone contact number of the consignee (receiver at destination)
• Dimensions of the motorcycle (length, width, height)
• Approximate weight of the motorcycle
• Name and contact information of a dangerous goods consultant
The above is in the 2019 brochure for this service.
However I sent them an email to see if I can get a ballpark idea of a cost range between, say Toronto and London. Lets see what they say.
This would have to be much cheaper than renting a bike over there for it to make sense, of course, but it would also be nice to be able to take your own bike over for a special experience.
