I am looking to mount my Navigator on my Tracer and it seems that the easiest way that I can do it is to mount it using a RAM mount to my handlebar. But I need to know if the suction cup part can be separated from the bracket with the contacts.
All the pictures I have seen for this ridiculously priced piece of plastic is like this or from the front. Here is the request (I refuse to use BS words like "the ask").
Can anyone who has this mount for use with the Nav V/VI take a clear photo showing how the suction cup arm is inserted into the back of the bracket, and can any of you say whether the suction cup piece can be detached?
Thanks in advance.

It just comes off the back as only held in by a spring clip. I use my car mount in the pickup all the time. Just went out to the garage and separated mine to verify.
Have you considered the 4 button mount with a ram ball on the back of it and then the $18 wire harness BMW sells and just run that to a fused line like the low beam headlight or parking lights. I use this on my R1150GS Adv in addition to my old GArmin 2730 which has my Sirius radio with it.

Great - thanks Darrell. I do have a suction cup mount for a different Garmin GPS I use in my truck (1490LMT I believe) and that has what appears to be a spring clip, so it may be the same arrangement. Thanks for verifying that it separated.

Not really. I figured the one above would be cheaper. I really only want the bracket and the 12V cigarette plug wire. The Tracer already comes with a couple of spare leads behind the windshield for accessories including GPS.

This is a Zumo 660 mount, works with Nav 6. I was able to pop the mount in and out of the socket with no obvious issues. I used it apart on a fly and ride from Pennsylvania.

Apparently one cup of coffee isn't enough to embed pics.

Perfect - thanks to the pictures I was able to pull the trigger and place the order on Amazon thereby saving myself over $120 from buying the BMW adapter kit. This is what I am getting:
