Was he expecting these levels of power? Has he ridden a superbike before (probably) ... I don't think that any boxer twin will ever compare.
As for the smoothness of the ShiftCam ... I am sure that someone on the forums will be able to detect when it opens up the second set of valves. There would probably be some thrumming involved too.
