I thought I had read the R1200RS shield would not fit the R1250RS.
Today I tried Deb's OEM tinted R1200RS shield on her R1250RS and it fit.
I'll paint the inside surface of my shield like I did on my R1200RS.

Is the 1250 equipped with a little adjusting handle located on the upper windshield pivot arm like I've seen on other bikes?

No, it's just like the R1200RS.
Not sure why the RS didn't get the little handle like the GS and XR.
Changes on the 1250 I can think of.
Engine
TFT
Nose fairing with LED headlights.
Exhaust sounds different.
The bumps on the back side of the shield where the mounting screws pass through are deeper.
This pushes the shield out from the fairing about a 1/4". If you look at a 1250 from the side you'll notice a slightly large gap.
Maybe this was done to have more air pass up through the back side of the shield to help the main wind blast collapsing too soon.
I'm not able to feel any difference.

ESA: spring preload is automatic now, it senses the sag on the rear suspension and adjusts accordingly.

I forgot about that. I have mine set on Max to raise the back end which helps with the too long sidestand. I'll give Auto a try sometime.
