Remus Slip On
#1
Picked up a used Remus slip on the other day. Purchased from a gentleman that had the misfortune of running over a 3/4” combination wrench, which then punctured the engine case. Caused enough damage to the tranny/case for insurance to total the bike! Fortunately he wasn’t hurt and the payoff allowed him to get a new steed- a very sinister looking black GS.
The pipe looks brand new. The installation was straightforward and (with the dB killer in) sounds great. Slightly louder at idle. Throaty while accelerating, but barely noticeable during steady cruising. It does pop a little more during downshifting, which I like. Quite a change from the stock can, particularly in size and weight[Image: 0ba8ae3085f94c3bf1c85dc496ff1125.jpg]

Very nice looking exhausts by Remus; probably the best looking aftermarket exhaust for the RS, by shape and colour. Compliments the look of the RS well and would look even nicer on a grey bike. Smile Alas I would have to come across someone parting out a bike to be able to crack open the wallet for an upgrade like this.

That really looks nice! I had been thinking about adding either a slip-on or a header this winter. After seeing yours I will be adding the Remus Slipon this winter. I have Remus Slipons on my K1600 and really like the look and the sound. Are you running with or with out the Db killer in?

Yeh GG, used was the only way I was going to get one.
Olgry, I am running the db insert. When discussing with the seller, he mentioned that running without it created a noticeable flat spot in the midrange. Which would require more money for a proper tune to match the reduced back pressure.
Honestly I like it as is. I have the Ducati with a set of Ferracci pipes if I have the urge to “speak out” a little, lol

Couldn't agree more, but I do like the look (and the sound) on a Lupin Blue!

I went with the Remus shortly after purchasing my 2020, looks and sounds much better while still being quiet enough to be sociably acceptable Tongue.

All looks good.
(as an aside - looks like we have similar tastes in parking spaces. Angel )
