Hello hello

Thumbs Up
Hi all!
I'm Pedro. Have 36 years old and live in Mafra (west Portugal)

Had the oportunity to bought a R1200RS 1 year ago after a being proud owner of a MT09 Tracer. I Did 90000km in 6 years on the tracer and so far I have 10k on my 1200rs  Shy

So it is a discover so far.
At first I did not enjoy fully enjoy because the bike need new tyres, regular mantenance, the heavy difference, etc. Nowadays I'm really happy, the bike runs so smooth and the torque is immense when you want to be fast, also I have all the 'bells and wistles' that I was looking foŕ: Electronic suspension, Cruise control, Better brakes, more torque...

So after the first couple of weeks, I installed new tyres, change suspension fluids I add a couple of mods
- MRW vario screen
- BMW aliexpress phone 'cradle'

Did 5k for travel and 5k for commute.

This year, this week, has been a year that I have bought my r1200rs, so went to dealer to do the maintenance and had the opportunity to test the new model 1250rs, but so far I'm preetty happy with my blue.

On a side note, I have also a Honda cb500f for daily commute  Tongue

Cheers  Blush

Welcome to the Forum Community. I had a Honda CBR500R before I got the RS and I also have a Tracer 900GT which I use primarily to commute with and save the miles from building up on the RS too fast. Both the Honda and the Tracer are great bikes.

Maxredline: Thanks. Yes it is good. Had a NC750 but I preffer the CB being more practical and less weight for day to day, at the same time I spare the BMW while running costs are lower on the Honda because I do 25k km per year.

Motorhead1977: Thanks. 100% agree. RS is probably the only recent bmw that have a good entry price on sale market here in Portugal. I was torn betwee a1290 GT ktm but I choose the (this deal)BMW because it has more equipement - 3 packs + luggage for a real good deal Smile

GrumpyGoat: Thanks for the warm welcome. I had great moments with my tracer. I changed suspension to ohlins and it was a way different bike (2015 had the wobble issues). I will try to resume some of the bikes that I had on another post and some photos also. I miss the tracer thought, from the all bikes that I had, that one, for me was special.
