Steering head bolt size

Good day i have enjoyed and appreciated the threads on our bmw maintenance.  Can anyone tell me the size of first steering head bolt under the badge size hex head?  As we all know on the 2016 rs the steering head bearings come loose.

I am not aware that the steering head bearings come loose on the RS any more than normal. Checking for looseness should be a normal maintenance check item. Last time I checked mine was not loose and I have just over 60k miles on the bike.

As for the bolt you are asking about - not sure what you are referring to. In cases like this it is a good idea to check the parts fiche. Is the part you are looking for in this diagram?
