I did about 50 miles this morning, does seem to be an improvement. Last weekend was 40 degrees, with my winter gloves & silk liners and I had to fire up the heated grips about 10 miles in. When I got home my fingers were stiff and the finger nails starting to sting. This week, 45 degrees, same gloves no liners. I did 20 miles with out grip heat and probably could have done the whole ride with out. With grip heat hands were comfortable for the whole ride. I know this isn't what you would call "COLD" but it's as cold as I want to ride in these days

Dave, I ended up trimming them for tank clearance at full lock. I have about 1/2 - 1" of clearance at the tank. Interestingly I had to trim more on the right side than the left. Not as asymmetrical as my R1100S but not quite mirror image either.
