It could have, I don't really know. It does produce more horsepower (165 vs 160)

That sounds like the old engine. The older engine has had 165 hp for a few years.
The 2020 S1000RR engine was redesigned and now has Shiftcam. I figured the 2021 S1000R would get a detuned version of this new engine and maybe have the HP raise from 165 to 175.
