Oklahoma! The state, not the musical

Hello all.
Just bought a 2023 RS Sport sans ESA and some other electronics, including key fob.
Like the bike's relatively purist attitude. Replaces a 2019 hefty Hayabusa.
Not my first BMW. Had an 2007 K1200 GT, which was fast as stink, equipped with ESA and other goodies, but ultimately a top-heavy horror for my 29-inch in-seam.
Right now, I own 10 motorcycles - Harleys, Indians, Triumphs, Suzukis - not counting my Ducati racer bike, a modified 1100 Evo Monster with a Paul Smart fairing.

Welcome to the site. I'm down to just 2 bikes now, my 2020 RS and my 87 VFR400 R, but in my past I've had as many as 8 in the garage at the same time. Yup, some of us definitely "suffer" from MBS (multiple bike syndrome).

Thanks for joining and welcome to the Forum Community. Also welcome to RS ownership.

Interesting that you said you did not get ESA and other electronics including the key fob ... sounds like you got a pretty rare RS in the US market, since they typically come loaded. Still the character of the engine and chassis should prove to be rewarding for an experienced rider such as yourself ... 10 bikes is quite a collection.

Welcome to the forum.
What part of Oklahoma? We like riding through SE Oklahoma each April on our way to the Texas Hill Country and back.
When the weather is good we take the Talimena Scenic Drive.
I like all the electronic options except keyless. When we ordered our 2022 RSs I probably would have skipped that option if it was a stand alone option.
It was groped in a package with other items we wanted.

@Goat: No ESA, key, ride modes and all the other packages. Just the basic Sport (with grab rails). Story is was custom order and the original purchaser backed out. I'm adding cruise control, heated low seat, bags & full Arrow exhaust (since I'm not glam enough to sport the giant Look At Me Chrome Exhaust can). I fear being stranded by keyless gas cap and rebuilding the ESA. As for the Nav stuff, my Porsches have made me acutely aware of the ahem, flaws, in the German system. So hard pass on that.

@Lee: Edmond. Just north of OKC. Some nice hills here, though nothing like Missouri or Arkansas or Hill Country. Might check out Wichita Mountains by Lawton. Nice riding.
