Hi everyone,
After 16 years with an R1100S I thought that was me for life. One day in the work car park was a shiny new RS..... I have been sort of drooling for about 5 years.
Last year I took a both 1200 and a 1250 out for a test. Both of them made me smile a lot so I have just been looking for the right bike.
Last month the local dealer was doing an offer I couldnt refuse.
I now own my first new bike in 25 years. Its the 1250RS SE in that gorgeous Red/White/Blue. Or as my registration document says "Multi colour"
Only managed 250 miles on it so far but I already have a shopping list mainly to keep it clean!!
I am looking forward to reading all of your messages as I am sure many of you have done what I am thinking about doing. Picking brains is very useful!

Welcome to the Forum Community, VTECbyker! Are you yet another Honda VFR fan ... lots over there in your neck of the woods.
Indeed, you made a great choice in the tri-colour RS and I am sure that you will enjoy it especially given that you owned a sort of similar bike for a long time.
Lots of posts here that should be of interest. I have been trying to make this the repository on the web for all things RS, especially DIY articles and good informative forum discussions. Enjoy.

Welcome! My neighbor and buddy has the 1250 RS in Red White and Blue. It's a stunning machine. I'm certain you're going to enjoy it and then enjoy it some more.

Not a VFR fan at all. My name came in the 90's when I was driving a VTEC Honda car and I come from the North East, The land of Byker Grove. (BBC kids programme).
Looking forward to delving and picking brains as I get to know this bike.
Weather forcast is not too shabby tomorrow so off I go again.

Ahhhh ... yes I remember when I first saw the VTEC badge on Honda cars. Had to look up Byker Grove. When I was in Canada I worked with a few Geordies (and lots of Scots) who emigrated when the Tyneside shipyards shut down.

VFR fan count me in, just not the Vtec variety. I have 2 in the garage at the moment but have had 4 in all.

I'm just intrigued that people are busy dissecting your username but have completely overlooked your assertion that Manchester can sometimes be sunny...

It's also the land of fantastic roads - in Northumberland, the Borders, the Dales, the Lake District and the North York Moors. Mind, I suppose you have the Peak District and Wales. Aren't bikes wonderful?

I watch many videos from people who ride as well as go hiking and camping in those areas, and am envious. So many options.
