OEM Tool kit
#1
Wink
My 2016 is missing the bag/box that the tool kit came in. The tools were conveyed in a ziploc bag. I would like to get them back under the seat in the correct package. Can someone please post up photos for reference? I looked on Ebay but wasn't sure any of what is listed was the right item.

Thanks

The few tools that came with my 2016 are affixed to the underside of the driver's seat. No bag was supplied.

Frank, thanks for this clarification, it was the critical distinction. I don't have the passenger seat on the bike, it had been replaced with a Corbin smuggler when I got it which explains why the tools were just loose. I guess the manual goes under "driver" seat? I was looking at the molded box and retaining strap assuming that was where the tools were originally. I did go down to the garage and dig out the passenger seat to see the tool holders.

Ooops ... of course it is ... I stand corrected. And I only 2 days ago used the screwdriver handle to remove the oil filler cap.  Dodgy

Thanks.

Yes, that is where the manual was located. I removed mine for cleaner storage in my filing cabinet. Tools under the passenger seat as Frank correctly pointed out. With a smuggler I guess you'd have to smuggle the tools in there, no?

My ziploc bag full of tools, manual, and service log is currently stashed in the smuggler. I'm thinking about trading for an R1250GS and was planning to sell the box separately so I wanted to make sure the tools had a secure place. Since they go on the passenger seat that solves the problem. Now that I know what the other cavity is for I'll put the manual back in its place as well before the bike goes to market. I'm not in any hurry to sell but one the dealers nearby has a bike I'm interested in.
