2022 Officially "On Order"!

You can still track it to the Kansas City Airport.

Info from our bikes
Unloaded from ship Sep 29th
The container tracking site had no new info for a few days
Oct 4 a local trucking company picked up the container and I could now see it on the DHL site https://dhli.dhl.com/dhli-client/publicTracking?1
On the DHL site I select Customer Ref Number and entered the last 7 digits of the VIN (Use Caps)
Same day, Oct 4 the container arrived at the distribution center, Easton, Pa.
The container was unloaded and on Oct 5 and our bikes are on the way to a airport.
ETA for arriving in KC is Monday Oct 11th.
Tracking shows the bikes were flown to Kansas City and arrived at airport Oct 7th.

Thanks for the tips and tricks. I'll be able to piece things together once we're clear of the port-to-Easton (PA)-to DHL cluster.

That's good news!

Based on what I've learned here and from other threads (out there), I believe that container is bound for Easton, PA, where it will be broken down for shipments to shops.

Is it from Easton that the individual bikes are handed over to DHL for store-door shipping?

Yes, I believe the bike is not removed from the container until Pennsylvanian.
I don't remember if the bike showed on the DHL site before it arrives in Pa.
It will probably be next week before it clears Customs and arrives in Pa.
The DHL site will tell you when the bike arrives at the KC airport. It actually said destination airport instead of Kansas City airport.
Our bikes arrived at the airport on Thursday. Because of the weekend and the shop being closed on Monday it was Tuesday before they arrived at the shop.

I don't know where the bikes were flown out of. I didn't know they were on a plane until I saw destination airport on the tracking.

I'll be in the shop on Saturday to retrieve my Akra can, so we'll see where things stand by then. The slip-on goes in the box with all the other goodies, pending arrival.
This site (I think) will track it (the container) all the way to Easton.

https://www.apl.com/ebusiness/tracking/search

Once there's no container # to track, I'll have to plug into the BMW and/or DHL system(s). Still haunted by the story of a local customer who waited 7 weeks for his RR to get from the boat to KC.

April/warmer weather, on the other hand, will be just fine!

We're trying to triangulate where the RS might be, as the shop has determined that other bikes on the same ship, but in different containers, have cleared customs and are on the final trip to KC for delivery. Speculation is that the container may have been tagged for a "special inspection" and my be taking a few days longer to get through customs.
"It could all change tomorrow."
In the meantime, the weather is trending better and I'm getting a jump on some yardwork! Glass half full.

I was wondering about your bike. I've checked a few times and surprised to see it has not made it to Easton Pa.
I think Darrell's shop also had bikes on the same ship.
We had several nice days and I worked on mulch and got out for a bicycle ride.
Today is rain, sleet and snow.

The container status changed today to "Container to consignee"
Maybe it will show up in Easton, Pa on Monday.

Yep, I saw that this afternoon. I was on the run, but I shot an email to Peter about 4:15 to compare notes and didn't hear back.

You're likely spot on. I'll hear something on Tuesday.

Getting there. Hard to believe I started this process back in October.

Well, it was never my intent for the saga to go on this long, so thanks to all for slogging along! The end it near!

Ray, maybe you, Lee, Debbie and I should figure out a somewhat equidistant spot for all of us to meet up for lunch and a ride this summer!

As anticipated, the container has been unloaded in Easton. Will see what the shop says over the next couple of days. Feathering the nest...

You should be able to see your bike on the DHL site now.

Not yet, apparently. Followed your link above and your other tips to trace it, but "no record" yet exists. Maybe tomorrow.

Still nothing showing up in DHL, BUT Becky sent me an email today saying that the bike had been transferred to their inventory, meaning it's about to get on a plane. DHL doesn't handle final delivery, so she had no idea about searching it from Easton to KC. No matter, it's on the home stretch.

Now, says Becky, I've got to get on the Certificate of Origin. It apparently comes out of NJ, so she's on that part of it. Ed in Parts doesn't want to see my box of mod parts until the bike shows up at the shop (don't blame him!).

Brick by brick...

When we were at the shop it was a local box truck that delivered our bikes.
On ours, DHL showed very little information.
Seems like they showed the bikes were in their system.
They did not show the bikes leaving a airport but they did show when they arrived at the KC airport.
