I too like the torque for the acceleration of the big boxer twin. Just making the point that it doesn't begin and end with big torque numbers. The effect in performance seen by the rider can be made similar with smaller torque and proper gearing.

The ShiftCam produces 65% more torque at 2K than your Tracer does at 8K. I don't think gearing can make up for this.

No it can’t, but that was not my point. I am not talking about numbers on paper, but the actual experience in the bike, when ridden at other than the limit by the typical rider.
