First BMW, so first Rally, and feel lucky to live so close.
Looking forward to it.

For anyone not familiar with BMW Motorcycle Owners of America here's a link to the National Rally in Springfield Missouri.

You do not have to be a MOA member and you do not have to show up on a BMW.

For some, the 3-day pass is a turn-off, they just want to do a 1-day visit and see what's up. It's an available choice. I'm not advocating either choice but wanted the novices to be aware.

The one day option is good if you live close.
In Des Moines before the rally started a local was walking the fairgrounds and asked me about the rally.
I told him once the rally started he would have to pay to get in. I explained about the day pass and he planned to return on Saturday to check out the bikes and vendors, then listen to the bands at night.

Yes, camping at the fairgrounds is included in the rally fee.
This map shows where you can camp and where the showers are located.

In my opinion, the Midland, MI rally was a standout for camping due to the abundant barn space for camping and the animal show prep area (i.e., outdoor showers). Missoula MT, when we had to ride to the nearby community college for a shower was a bit of a hassle.

I liked West Bend Wisconsin because the had new shower trailer and had enough of them.
Du Quoin, Illinois was not good because the showers were on the other side of a small lake. By the time you walked back to your tent the shower was wore off.
I thought shower trailers was a great idea but now they can be in short supply and not cheap because they get used during the fire season.

Of course, nothing will ever beat Bloomsburg. I doubted Paul Glaves was going to live thru that.....

Mad at myself that I didn’t try to connect with anyone at the rally. My first MOA rally—off tomorrow to Cape Girardeau for the MSTA National.

I saw that you were headed that way and spent some time in Eureka Springs. Would have been good to meet up.
