I am surprised that it is the left side that has evidence of a possible drop. On the RS, due to the long side stand, it is the right side that is more prone to damage from a drop.
After asking the dealer about it today he checked and it was wax overspray from when they detailed it. Sent me new pics and it was spotless. Found out those lower sliders on them are indeed plastic, like the HP sliders. I wonder how much they actually protect; will have to gently lay it down on a mat and see where the contact points are.
Got more info on the build today. Model year of 2021, build date of 08-2020, wholesale date (I'm assuming this is when it's available for sale at a dealer) of 10-2020, and retail sale date of 12-2020. Service light is lit, dealer said it was for yearly service and will be doing a brake flush for free but said to hold off on the oil & filter change (which I agree with). Impressed with Gulf Coast Motorcycles / BMW of Ft Meyers so far through this -- was nervous doing this long distance but I've been working directly with their GM, Jeff Gallo, and he's been very accommodating and helpful so far with the whole process.

Glad to hear that some of the cosmetics turned out to be nothing. Is your deal done yet?

Paperwork to sign arrived via FedEx to my office about an hour ago. Dropping off that and a cashier's check tonight at FedEx on my way home. Then it's just between the motorcycle gods and the moving company (using Kentucky-based Keyboard Motorcycle Shipping). Was told 3-6 weeks, but that it could arrive in as little as two.
Hopefully I get it in time for Road America's Superbike racing and vintage bike show in June. They're less than an hour away and my buddies and I want to ride up on our bikes.

Talked to the delivery company today and they're on track to pick my bike up in Florida on Wednesday, then drive it to their warehouse in Kentucky and then to Wisconsin. I don't know how long it'll stay in KY yet.

Their warehouse is seven hours away from me. I'd really hope they could get it here in less than three weeks if they have it by this weekend. Aerostich R3 arrived today and I'll have everything else by the end of this week, so... let's GOOOOOO!!!

The IImberger belly pan would look sharp on a black bike.
IImberger is the best you can buy in carbon fiber.
I see it's on sale now for $819.
https://www.motovationusa.com/carbon-fib...250RS-2021
That's about $200 cheaper than the BMW stainless steel spoilers, unless the belly pan uses the BMW spoiler mounts.

Shipper just called me and said they'd be there around 930a tomorrow morning. Dealership opens at 9 so I guess my morning is working remotely from there until my new wife/bike arrives.
Rain forecast tomorrow as well. So the first time I'll be riding a bike in 8 years will be in the rain and on my new bike. Excitement, danger? A Jedi doesn't crave these things but I apparently do...

Why is the bike being delivered to a dealer?

Easier for me. I live in an apt bldg where I'm not even going to be keeping the bike, so the plan is I meet, inspect and sign for the bike in the morning, then go back to work for the day, and return in the afternoon to take it ”home".
Home being my buddy's shop where he's letting me keep and work on it until I get a new apt with a suitable garage. As I still intend on commuting every day it'll be like a garage that's 10 minutes away from my apt.

Importantly, that new bike will have new tires, which can always be a little exciting in the rain. Consider rain mode, be extra careful for those first miles, and (most importantly) have a great time on the new ride!!!

Bike had 83 miles and a previous owner when I got it so there's been a bit of scrub-in on the tires already. Had barely slept for the past two days I've been so excited; and a lot of that was anxiety over riding it today. Got it off the street and into the parking lot without falling over so that's one ride behind me -- haha and yes turned on Rain Mode before I did it. I've mentally entertained too many scenarios of me wiping out just trying to get it into or out of the dealer parking lot dancing through my head.
Total time from original (cancelled) dealer order to today - 55 days
Total time from purchase of different bike in FL to today - 25 days
Total shipping time from FL to WI using Keyboard Motorcycle Shipping - 8 days to pickup, +14 days to deliver (22 days total)

That's probably better than average for the last couple years.
Do you plan to add a rear luggage rack? They're handy to have.

BMW top case & rack, bag liners, and OEM alarm are waiting at the dealer (sans a missing mounting plate they still haven't received from BMW) to be installed.

Hard to believe it's been a month since it all came together. Wondering how it's going with the new ride?
