Hi Darrell, I am looking forward to it.

When I returned from Helen, GA I sent Patrick a note thanking him for the hospitality he showed both the groups when we were at the Baymont Inn and Suites. Some of you may not be aware the week after the RS Ride-In group I hosted a group who rode down from MN to meet me in Helen. I'm looking at putting together some sort of annual ride to Helen for motorcyclists just not sure of the direction I'd go with this but have all winter to sort that out. Below is Patricks reply to my note thanking us for our stay. He mentioned during my 2nd group he had some other riders who stayed at the motel and saw our RS bikes and wondered if they could join our RS group. None of them were BMW riders so he told them unlikely but he would pass along to me. If any of you are going to Helen consider the Baymont Inn and Suites as your choice of lodging. Patrick is working very hard to make this as the preferred place to stay in Helen. I spent some time with the owner and he also owns a hotel in Biloxi, MS he said I could consider as well.
Good to hear from you Darrell,
We really appreciate the way your two groups were and I cannot wait for your guy's arrival back in Helen. I am glad you reached home safe and sound. I do hope you keep in touch with me. You guys were quite and no trouble at all. I still couldn't believe that other hotel guests wanted to be part of you alls group. You know my phone number and please keep in touch. I will always strive to make your stays better than the one before. My wife says hello and misses you guys. Please let me know when you would like to set up another trip, I will be here.
Thanks
Patrick

Thanks for sharing that, Darrell. The Baymont, while not perfect, was a good place to stay in while in Helen and I would not be opposed to going back there.

I just checked my OneDrive folder to see if anyone had uploaded pictures from the Ride In as requested, and sure enough there are a bunch of pictures there.
I will do some post processing and will put the best ones online in its own slideshow. Love the photos of those of you who went to the Dragon.
If anyone has not got around to uploading yet, please take a few minutes and do so. Since the link is for private access only it was shared earlier via email from Darrell.
I tell you, this was no doubt the best Ride In to date.

My pleasure Dave. I still have more videos to come. As a matter of fact I am presently editing all those photos in the OneDrive folder, and will make a separate video of all of those candid stills.

I miss riding with you folks. I am currently in Marseille for 2 weeks of Helicopter stuff. Haven't seen an RS yet but have seen a boatload of GS's(Go figure) and a lot of RT's. I am hoping to get over to the dealership and see if they have the 1250RS sitting on the floor. Will advise.

Ah yes, I remember you telling about this trip. Enjoy it where / while you can. And yes do advise what you see in the dealership, if you get there.

I share that sentiment, Mike. I wish that trip could have lasted longer. Great company and excellent roads. While we were at the Dragon (the same day as the Brasstown Bald ride) I saw, at least, 4 other RS riders, besides those in our group. Enjoy your trip!

After we left Brasstown Bald, we went to Cleveland GA to get an H7 bulb for Bob and also for lunch, before riding back to the hotel. Bob took the lead on the ride back too.

Went to the BMW shop in Aix En Provence this afternoon and they had 3 1250RS's on the floor. Other than the new headlights, Cosmetically, They are no different. TFT was pretty damn nice. They made some changes to the ESA where the bike will sense pre-load and automatically adjust. I didn't get a chance to ride one (They offered, But I didn't have my gear with me). Some really funky colors. The European bikes are a lot different than ours because they classify them in different styles (Sport, Exclusive, etc...). My impression, I'll hang on to my current RS until somebody can really convince me the 1250 is the way to go.

The only color option I like is black.
The blue looks good in pictures but I do not like the large decals.

Wayne, nice recap with all your trip videos of your ride to, at and from Helen, GA for the 3rd annual RS Owners Ride-In. Thanks for sharing with everyone. There will lots of very different scenery for the 4th annual in Colorado. The picture was taken this last week at an elevation of 12,126 ft.[attachment=196]

Beautifiul picture, Darrell.
Thanks for the kind words on the 2019 Ride In play list of videos. They might not be the most exciting but they have meaning to us (or at least me) as opposed to having wider appeal on YouTube.
Yes, the Colorado pictures will be more dramatic and I intend to use my Nikon more next Ride In.
