Thanks for all the replies.. since found out from main dealer that the new ESA is different from the previous ESA.. However the owners manual still states min/max and Auto pre selection on the 2023 owners manual.. that what was confused me but must admit it dose not take much to confuse me with me "getting on now" but not yet passed it.. I think however will mis the lowering function.. the 820 mm seat height on the r1250 rs se is fine for me but must admit the min lowering function which was on my bmw r 1250 gsa did come in handy for pillion use and flat footing when walking the bike back when sitting on it. but not the end of the world.. would have been less confusing if bmw change the owner manual to state the ESA dose not now have max setting or lower the bike as before.. most likely did not want to re-write the owners manual.. but have been told it dose lower the rear of the bike but the change so minimum to the point you can't notice.. so what the point of that! still getting use to the ESA so maybe it lower more when the bike is moving and the ESA lowers pending what weight is on the bike.. but the point of lowering immediately like on the previous ESA was to get the rear lower when required.. but the rs1250 as a lower seat height than the r1250 gsa.. if the same ESA is on the 2023 r1250 gsa then shorter riders will defo miss the lowering function if carrying a pillion or on uneven ground when stopping..
