As for weight savings ... I have to laugh whenever I see that topic come up ... usually by people who have a few pounds to lose (and I am being kind here) yet they are looking to save a pound here or there on this or that component, that they are willing to spend big bucks to get.  

I agree on most of the weight saving efforts on motorcycles, but wheels is one of the best places to save weight.

With the big advantage that it also reduces the unsprung weight.
