Plenty of 3 week trips between 1978 and 1987 to the west coast, NE US, SE US and the Gulf, plus interior states.
After riding solo the last 37 years it might be difficult going back to 2 up.
We actually enjoyed taking the 3 week car trip this last month, so it's not the end of the world if we stop motorcycle travel

Yeah, you two have lots of experience both ways and I agree, against the car the drama of 2-up might not be worth the effort. I guess you can still keep one bike for yourself. Roll both into an R1300RS.
