Clever! And simple. I already had a SAE connection for charging and when I looked behind the panel covering the battery, lo and behold, the wires I had wadded up in there were plenty long to reach the tankbag. I already had an SAE to Usb adapter, so job done.
I'll just have to remember to unplug power hungry devices. My El Cheapo adapter does not have an on/off switch.
