If you haven't watched this company video by Akrapovič it's worth the five minutes. They uniquely have their own titanium foundry, and I think they're one of the few that do all their own casting, rolling, cutting, and welding of it in-house.

As for the looks and sounds of their products for the RS, it's a bit of a mixture and dependent on what you get from them. I think the can looks too fat. Why can't it be more slender like the can on the R1 in the video:
Aren't we more concerned about sound, though? I am, but I think Akras are really designed as system, muffler & headers together. I think their de-CAT'd systems with the baffle & dB killer left in may provide a great compromise to be non-offensive & very approachable at low RPM/throttle inputs, but awaken the beast if given the beans -- sort of what I attribute to the rest of the character of the bike anyway. The can by itself is OK but I think an Arrow or SC Project sound much better and have a FAR easier-to-remove dB killer.
