And don't throw your old weights away. Just roll the adhesive off the back with your thumb, clean with alcohol and throw them in the toolbox for the next change. When they're called into action again use some 3M tape and let them spin around for another 6K miles You can usually find the tape at any of your local auto parts stores

I like the repurposing/recycling aspect, but the roll of tape costs $8.99, while 48 new 1/4-oz weights cost me $6.71.....

An economic/environmental dilemma, no?

You're not wrong, especially these days. My method predates the ease of online ordering convenience.
