Non-brand name light pods
#1
Anyone knows/can recommend non-brandname motorcycle light pods? And if you do know a name or two can these non-brand name pods can be connected to/controlled by the EZCan or CANsmart just as the Fenali lights can?????

Because my bike has engine bars I simply fitted a pair of Givi S310 Trekker Lights. They are powered from a Fuzeblocks FZ-1, like all my accessories, so cannot be controlled by CAN smart etc.. I discarded the supplied loom, so had to replace the connectors at the lights with waterproof ones.

Colin, understood! However I am still hoping to find a lower cost light pods than those sold by Denali/Clearwater and have those, if indeed exist, with ability to control intensity and pulsing functions thru the bike’s own CANBUS system/network… Thsnks!!

had these on an S1000XR w/an EZ can. Did everything the high dollar lights do as far as functions like flashing. Also very conspicuous in daytime. Not so great at night as they spray light everywhere.

Hey Liteitup and thanks for the info! How about these pods’ electrical connectors? Did you have to convert to connect to the EZCan or were they come with same type of connectors. I am thinking these could answer them Silas I don’t drive much in dark, if any….
Again, thanks!!

Know that in some jurisdictions there are limits to how bright lights can be on the road. Having said that the cheaper lights are for off road only and do not constantly rate lumens.

At this site they are rated.

That makes the case for a CANSmart or eZCAN controller which can control the output if desired, either at setup or on the fly using the built-in switchgear of the bike.
