Evening all.
A wee intro.
I’m of the age I can’t remember all the bikes I’ve owned in riding 42 years on the road.
However I can faintly remember a few years ago so I’ll start there
Bought a cheap R1200GS from a friend and enjoyed it so much I bought a R1250GS soon after
Not sure why but I traded that in for a 1290 Super Adventure and while that was great fun it didn’t fill me with what I needed so sold that.
Went back to basics and bought a 2015 R1200RS and loved it so much, you guessed it, I sold it and bought the current 1250RS
No one can explain why buy the 1200 was and still is much more immediately responsive than my 1250. My friend bought the 1200 so I can still prove this to myself. My technical friend has tried “resetting it” after advice from a bmw senior tech but no joy. I’ve took off the Akra and fitted a stock can to see if that helps. I’ve yet to try this out as there’s too much salt on the road
Anyhow, my friend offered the 1200 back to me but I’m going to try persevering with the 1250
Next steps are to buy heavier bar ends as the vibes kill my right hand very quickly. Some bar hand guards and finally some lower pegs
