Wunderlich sport engine bars and lights
#1
My bike came with some small driving lights installed in the fairing but I would like to add some yellow lights down low and wide.
I don't have any crash bars yet and am considering the Wunderlich sport guards. Does anyone have experience mounting Denali lights especially the DM or DL2 on that bar?  The pipe diameter looks a little smaller than you typically find on crash guards (which is appealing to me) I don't want the lights to be loose and I'm not drilling and taping anything.

Thanks
Jamie

When I went to the Wunderlich page and entered the 2016 R1200RS this came up in red:

I'm sorry, our Wunderlich Sport Engine Bars, Black does not fit your - 2016 R1200 RS - Click here to view parts for your bike.
Warning! Important information below in the description.

But the "Important information" below only speaks about the 1250RS.

I have no experience mounting the Denali lights on that particular bar, but I have D2s on my SW Motech crash bars, which may be similar in size to these Wunderlich cars. There are clamps that will fit all sensible diameters of tubing.

Very interesting
When I  check I get green text that says they fit.
Here the copy paste:
"In Stock
Excellent! Our Engine Bars Sport, Black fits your - 2016 BMW R1200 RS."
It does provide this warning
"R 1200 RS LC - Does not fit in combination with35612-002, Does not fit in combination with original BMW additional lights"

This is for Part # 31740202

I even added them to my cart to see if that would cause the error you got but it did not.

Thanks

Gotta love these websites with conflicting information. One sure way to lose a customer like me. Best of luck to you on fitment. I see NormR has one fitted so at least there is that.

I too have the Wunderlich sport bars fitted on my '20 1250 RS. We installed a set of Denali D3? lights on my buddy's '23 RS but used the separate mounting brackets.

Personally I went the WS Motec route with D3's installed on the bars. I didn't have to take them off to check valve lash.
