Hello all,
I have been useing the R1200RS forum since the old 2016 version and viewing this.
But with a prompt from Grumpy Goat have formally joined this one.

Currently have a Blue 1250 Ex changed from a Lupin 1200 last September, tried just about all makes and models but the 1250 still came out tops!

Have been biking since 1955 starting with a modifed 1937 Triumph Tiger70.
various makes and models since then BMW from 2004 starting with a R1200GS then F800GS finally the RS which is superb!

I have fitted R bars Wunderlich Ergo risers, Givi touring screen and Hornig GPS mount and Barkbuster Storm handguards. It might seem that a GS would have been better but the RS is much much better looking and fits me. Plus I have no intention of going offroad even though in my youth I did several years motocross. At my age I cannot pick up my son's KTM 300EXC let alone a GS!!

Great to join this forum I expect that I will find plenty to comment on

Alan, so wonderful to see you on the RSWb Forum Community after first making your acquaintance on my YouTube Channel - Welcome.

Of course, beautiful bike - The Blue Exclusive is my favourite colour in the new 1250RS.

The other "R1200RSForum" did beat me to the Internet after the demise of the original "R1200RSForums" website, and that was because I was also developing the parent website RSWasserboxer.com in parallel. Did not want the baby to come before the daddy ...

You will notice that there is a big difference between the two, so they coexist well, in my opinion. The focus I want for this one is "useful content" and "sharing DIY experiences". It so happens that this one has more US-based members, whereas the other one seems to be more UK/Europe slanted. Of course both welcome members from everywhere! Smile

SO - if you like to fiddle with your RS and it looks like you can take a picture (video?) please do consider sharing in threads of your own. And that goes for ALL members too ... Big Grin

RSWasserboxer.com and its Forum Community are intended to be a one-stop of resource information on the bike, that I wish existed when I thinking of buying it.

Welcome again, Alan.

Welcome to the "civilized" site....

...and have to say, you have my respect. I just want to make it to age 82 with capability to straddle a bike or scooter, let alone buy a new one. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hear hear! I think that Alan might have the record for members here ... and still riding ... an RS no less. Hope I too can still be doing the same if I reach that level of "experience". Smile
