Denali D2 wire routing
#1
One forum member (fungo522?) asked how I ran the wiring from my Denali D2 lights to my CANSmart Controller under the pillion seat. This video shows how.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Wayne, I was working on my install today, hopefully I'll get the Denali lights on tomorrow ( if I can find space to run the cable from the lights to the cansmart)

I just realized you posted a video of the wire routing. I thought I needed to run it under the gas tank and connect over the battery somehow. Your routing looks a whole lot easier ! Thanks

Running the wires is actually so easy I did not dwell on it in my original video. No need to remove the tank or anything like that. You'll see.

WOOHOO! Thanks for remembering to close the loop on this. Big Grin I am old school - I like to know "whatever happened ..." after the initial query is answered. Sometimes people forget and we're left hanging.

As for the installation of the Denali system - I agree it is very straightforward and the supplied pigtails and equipment are truly plug and play. I know you will enjoy your system as I do mine.

Just got done rewiring my RS for an upgrade to the ezCan system (similar to Denali CanSmart) to eliminate excess wiring and relays. Aside from re-termination of the accessories, all went smoothly. Couldn’t believe the amount of unneeded trigger wires and power connections to the battery, plus the relays that were removed during the process. I also added in a set of the Cyclops EVO turn signal boards, to replace the Dynamic Motorrad LED t/s bulb inserts as well.. (may put these up on the for sale board) and, Presto.. Close Encounters time out front, and back.. the functions of the ezCan are amazing for the size of the unit. I have the front turns running as white markers/amber turns and, the back running as red marker/brake lights, as well as amber turns.. also used an open circuit to power up the front white lights, and a RAM wireless charger. Made wiring up easier on another level.

Is this the link to the Cyclops kit you got?

Sounds like a cool upgrade all around. If you have photos or video to share that would be nice.

Yes, those are the ones.. As soon as I get time, I’ll put together a video, or some pics to post up.
