We're in Arkansas.
Hwy 125 from Springfield to the ferry is a great road. Anyone in the area should take the time to ride all of it.
We met 10 friends in Yellville and stayed at the Carlton Marion 5 nights. Nice owner and cheap rates. We paid $59. I think the rates are going up to $69.
Good Mexican restaurant across the road that also serves breakfast.

This year the Turkey Trot festival was going on while we were in Yellville.
We enjoy checking out local activities.
We had more kettle corn than we should have
Gaston's on the White River downstream of Bull Shoal Dam is a good place for fresh Trout.
If you like to fish they will prepare what you caught.
If you like planes there's usually a few out front at the end of the grass runway.

Beautiful.
I mean, a lot of this, we can provide the text (if not subtext) for you.
Great trip. No bugs.
They might not be as nimble as the RS, but the K bikes still look great.
Some good colors await you on the way back north.
No matter the destination, almost all my trips start in the Ozarks. I'll be heading down to Eminence Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning on the way to SC. Let me know if that happens to intersect any of your travels.

We had planned to go home through Eminence but when the cold weather moved in we decided to hold up in Eureka a couple days and head north from here.
The weather the next few days look great down here.

Aha ... I see you met my work colleague Steve ... I told him about the Edelweiss Inn ... I guess he must have followed my recommendation. Yes, he is up there riding with his buddy from up north. They do that every year at this time. Did he ask you about your RS and made the connection to me? I'd be interested to hear how that happened.

When he saw our bikes he asked if I knew Grumpy Goat.

Indeed. I figured that is what happened. He saw my RS enough to recognize the model and he knew that we go to the Edelweiss Inn for Arkansas Ride Ins.

Pictures of Beaver Dam after a large rain event, spring 2017.
High outflow took out the fence behind the truck.
Pictures taken on Wednesday. It was a dry summer.
We could not get this close in 2017

The owner of the Carlton Marion takes care of several stray cats. He feeds them and takes them to the vet.
He even has little heated houses for them when the weather gets cold.
The cats like company
The cats are not allowed in the rooms but Tom has a hard time remembering the rules.
