Has anyone replaced the fuel stainer/filter on their RS?

I have not heard of anyone replacing the strainer that's attached to the fuel pump.
It's $108 for the little sock.
The last bike we had with a fuel filter was the 2003 K1200RS.

Yes, it's under a U shaped strap...I call it the "bale".
Male end is on the hose from the pump and the threaded end is up against the bulkhead for the outside fittings.
The "sock" strainer just slides on the end of the pump with the steel ring holding it on at the bottom of the tank.
