My BMW Navigator VI is possessed

On the screen that shows one, four, or 16 values, try to select front and rear TPM to show again.
There's a long list of values you can select to show on that screen,

This appears to be the answer. Took me a bit to find that screen, it's in "My Motorcycle" in the apps section.

Good that is resolved. Reselection was the key - good to know.

Now why reselection of all of the other parameters was not needed, is what I'd like to know; or on the other hand, why did the others work without reselection and this one didn't ...

My guess is because the XR does not have TPMS and the Nav VI replaced them with info it had.

I would have expected it to leave those fields blank, but I'm barely able to read email.

Hum, interesting. I also have an RS and an XR. I can tell you that the Nav V does not reconfigure the page with the 16 data points. On the XR, they just display dashes instead of values, but what's on the page remains unchanged whether the Nav V is on the RS or the XR.

The Nav VI might be smarter. And more fragile, from some people's experience.

Might not be the proper thread for this question, but here goes. I have Nav 6 and use Base Camp on an iMac for routing. So in preparation for the upcoming season I booted everything up and find needed updates to the software on both Nav and computer. I loaded the new map onto the gps and all is good there. While doing that, Base Camp was not running. Turned on BC and updated to the new version which fixes a map viewing issue they had when Apple went to the latest OS version. All good, but it didn't put the new map onto the computer.

I can't figure out how to update the map on the iMac. Any ideas?

To my recollection, when updating the maps on the Navigator using Garmin Express, there is an option to also update maps on BaseCamp. This I don't usually check since I have little interest in BaseCamp. See here for the apparent answer from Garmin - good luck if it works.

In response to your question I fired up BaseCamp (for PC; v.4.7.2). It said that there was a v.4.7.3 ready for install, which I did. Release notes said "Various stability and bug fixes". It did not install any maps. I would try Garmin Express again.

Working now so it looks like I'm gonna be all set. I didn't see the small blue type when looking for this last night. My color blind issues sometimes make these colored print hard to see. Particularly red. Thanks GG

Those of you in Logan know my 3rd Nav VI started ghosting on my ride down to Arkansas on my way to the Ride-In. 2nd day out I switch to my Nav V for a couple of days, then reinstalled Nav VI and it worked for about a week before ghosting again so back to the Nav V. Stated using the Nav VI again in Logan and it worked fine until yesterday when to locked up so no buttons would work.

Called Garmin 2 hours ago. 5 minutes after calling the person told me a new one would be on the way. An hour after the call got a shipment confirmation for 1 day delivery tomorrow. Garmin rep told me to try and ship the one not working back in the next couple of weeks for full credit on the transaction costs.

Also interesting I read someone post they no longer make the Nav VI and all are refurbished. Spoke to the Garmin person who said they are aware of this and are attempting to stop these untrue rumors. He said the one I receive should be the brand new version of the Nav VI.

Great customer service.

On the MOA forum there's a thread showing the part number of the updated Nav VI.

Great customer service.

I agree that their customer service on these Nav VIs is excellent, unlike the units themselves which are only great when they work. Good to hear that it will be resolved ... again.

Sending back my 3rd Nav VI. Swapped this one in late April, so 6 or 7 months old. Used the chat feature on garmin website, worked well.

I see where some people receive the new 2021 model and some are still getting the original Nav VI.
The paperwork will show a model number ending in -58 if it's the new one.

The one I'm sending back was invoiced as a -58, going back this time as a -37? It has slightly different graphics than my original and first replacement, so I assumed it was the later version.

Per the paperwork, the new (refurbished) unit is a -58.

That's how the Garmin rep wrote it up. I started the chat by saying it was ghosting/changing screens constantly and it was my third return. He asked for serial number(6WK001235, under the battery) and sent me instructions for exchange. I didn't check part numbers until you mentioned it.

Looks like I’m a victim…again

My third NavVI has just exhibited the demon screens while I was riding today. And I can’t get anything to work. Check out my vid today showing the lack of screen buttons accepting input

I have entered a support email. Le sigh...oder, das Sigh....
