Hello,
I just took delivery of a slightly used, Austin Yellow, 2020 R1250RS.
I have to admit, the yellow wouldn't have been my first choice but I do like it. However, I don't like the black stickers especially the one that says "sport" (seems kind of redundant).
So, has anyone attempted to remove the stickers and is anything needed beyond the usual hair dryer and goo gone? This is also the matte paint which I've never really dealt with before.
As a secondary question, has anyone had experience wrapping a bike? This video has me thinking that BMW really dropped the ball by not offering the RS in red.

Heat and goo gone should do it.

I would heat lightly with a heat gun and carefully peel. If you can get the peel angle right (about 150 degrees) the stickers should leave little or no residue. Goo gone should work for the rest (I wouldn't use Goof Off).

It looks sharp in red.
I like the red valve cover gasket.

Has anyone removed the large "Triple Black" sticker on the faring of the 2023 black RS?
I really am not fond of that Triple Black sticker on the 2023 RS. The RS on top of the tank looks good but the Triple Black one seems a bit like trying too hard. It looks to be a sticker versus the RS on the tank looks like it's under the clear coat.

The I de-badged both of my R1250RSes by peeling the stickers off, followed with a microfiber and a little 99% isopropyl alcohol for cleanup. BMW's vinyl doesn't look that good to begin with IMO, and I feel stickers advertising what model bike I have (or worse, that hideous "TRIPLE BLACK" badging) are for an age bracket I've long since passed. The iconic marque is enough.

Here's a Triple Black without the sticker.

I use Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant on my Austin Yellow RS. It looks amazing and is a great protectant. Any sealant/wax should work fine. Whatever you do, don't use any sort of polish.
Austin Yellow is awesome, by the way

Thanks TriangleRider. I've used other Wolfgang products on my car, but I'll give that a try.
I never did take the stickers off. It took me a bit but I decided you're correct. Austin Yellow is awesome.

IMHO that looks way better than with the stickers. Coolio.

Here's Austin Yellow with the addition of tank protection pads.

I looked into wrapping my previous bike by a professional shop and I was quoted close to $1,000. It was a Yamaha Tracer and I was a bit taken aback by the cost. Not really much to wrap but apparently they see it as a difficult job to do..
