"There is only one catch as there is one curved zipper that is kind of funky..." is an understatement! There's a Cycle Gear near my home so I had size 42 Road Stars delivered. When I got to the store I literally could not zip them up--there was at least a one-inch gap between each side of the zipper. Cycle Gear was great about taking the boots back and I ordered one size larger. When they arrived the zipper gap was "only" about 3/4." Here's where it gets weird: with the help of a pair of vice-grips I got the zipper up and then...the boots were slightly too big!

So for anyone thinking of buying these boots, stick to their recommended size, have plenty of lubrication on hand for the zipper, and carry vice-grips or a spring-puller the first couple dozen times you try to pull them on.

They are extraordinarily well built and with titanium screws in one foot to remind me how just how important that can be, I really do like them. I just wish they were not nearly impossible to put on. Oh, yes, and the zipper on the outside does not help we...mature riders for whom bending over at weird angles is not easily accomplished!
