Confirming Eastern RS Owners Exist
#41
Excellent! My neighbor has a 23 RS in the same color, just without the brushed metal lower engine fairing. I'll be late getting out this riding season as I had open heart bypass graft surgery on March 7. My cardio thoracic surgeon says it kinda means I'll not be able to ride for at least a couple - 3 months. Both his father and brother are riders and he understands the passion so he's leaving a lot of that decision up to me.

I know that Bob....

Three years ago, he said he was retiring.  That must have been some other job he was working at.  He's in the shop doing sales whenever I've been in the shop.
I knocked, but the door was open.......

Sorry to hear life was interrupted.
Smart surgeon.

My 2 cents - and worth every penny - some work with a cardiopulmonary rehab specialist (and maybe a PT if sternal stability is a question), might go a way toward getting you back on the road a little sooner.

(Though most of the improvement physically (and mentally) occur in the first 6 weeks, I always tell folks to expect further noticeable improvement for a couple years with daily training.)

Go get 'em.

Thanks Ray, I'll be starting with a CP rehab specialist once cleared by my doctor. Expecting perhaps the PT as well. Thanks to the efforts and attention a very very special friend I've been blessed with superb medical throughout this. It's just the longish journey home now. Big incentive on that account ?

Right. Try this thought -
If most of what we call aging is people becoming less fit..., you should come out of this a younger man.
(Time for that RR?)

Who wouldn't like an RR, though I'm quite stuck on the RS. One thing for sure is my cousin and I (about 6 months apart in age) are working out some details for a long MC vacation for next year.
